Community Manager
Are you an organized administrative professional who enjoys helping people and keeping operations running smoothly? We are seeking an Assistant Community Manager to support the day-to-day administrative functions of a busy affordable housing property.
In this role, you will serve as a key support partner to the Property Manager and site team, assisting with resident communication, file management, compliance documentation, office administration, and property operations.
Assistant Community Manager Responsibilities
- Provide administrative support to the Property Manager and property staff
- Maintain resident files, lease documents, and compliance records
- Assist with affordable housing certifications and recertifications
- Respond to resident inquiries and provide excellent customer service
- Process work orders and coordinate communication with maintenance staff
- Assist with rent collection, notices, and resident correspondence
- Prepare reports, track documentation, and maintain accurate records
- Support audits, inspections, and compliance reviews
Qualifications
- 1+ years of administrative, customer service, leasing, or property management experience
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook)
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
- Excellent communication and customer service skills
- Affordable housing and/or property management experience preferred
- Experience with Yardi, RealPage, MRI, or similar software is a plus

Qualifications:
• Experience managing residential or affordable housing communities, preferably within tax credit or regulated property environments.• Working knowledge of Low-Income Housing Tax Credit compliance practices, including resident eligibility and lease file documentation.
• Ability to perform property inspections and follow through on operational or maintenance-related action items.
• Strong communication skills with the ability to interact effectively with residents, vendors, and internal teams.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office for documentation, reporting, and day-to-day administrative tasks.
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail in a fast-paced property management setting.
• Ability to stay current with regulatory requirements and apply them accurately in daily work.
Compensation
