Cost and Inventory Manager

Robert Half is recruiting for an experienced Manufacturing/ Cost Accounting Consultant to support a manufacturing ERP and costing transformation initiative. This resource will focus on cleaning up Bills of Material (BOMs), routings, inventory costing, and manufacturing master data while helping improve inventory valuation and cost reporting. This role will be located hybrid schedule in Riverside, CA.

Responsibilities

* Review, clean up, and validate BOMs and manufacturing routings.

* Build and update BOMs and routings from engineering drawings and other source documents.

* Support implementation of standard costing and inventory cost rollups.

* Analyze manufacturing transactions, inventory valuation, labor, overhead, and product costs.

* Assist with ERP upgrades, integrations, and manufacturing data validation.

* Develop SQL queries and Power Query solutions to analyze and reconcile manufacturing data.

* Support efforts to bridge manufacturing transaction data into Microsoft Dynamics 365.

* Partner with Finance, Operations, Engineering, and IT teams to improve data integrity and costing accuracy.

Required Qualifications

* Strong Manufacturing Cost Accounting experience, including standard costing, inventory valuation, cost rollups, and variance analysis.

* Experience cleaning and maintaining BOMs and routings in a manufacturing environment.

* Advanced SQL and/or Power Query skills.

* ERP implementation, upgrade, or integration experience.

* Ability to analyze large data sets and resolve costing and inventory discrepancies.

Preferred Qualifications

* Experience with Epicor ERP (Epicor 10 / EPICS).

* Experience with Microsoft Dynamics 365.

* Power BI reporting and dashboard development.

* Experience developing bridge or integration solutions between manufacturing and financial systems.

Project Focus

* BOM and routing cleanup.

* Standard cost implementation.

* Inventory cost rollups and valuation improvements.

* Epicor to D365 manufacturing cost integration.

* Manufacturing data analysis and reporting.

Qualifications:

• Minimum of 5 years of experience in manufacturing cost accounting with strong knowledge of standard costing, inventory valuation, cost rollups, and variance review.
• Hands-on experience maintaining and correcting bills of material and production routings within a manufacturing setting.
• Advanced capability with enterprise resource planning data analysis and Power Query for reconciliation, reporting, and issue resolution.
• Prior involvement in system implementation, upgrade, or integration efforts affecting manufacturing or accounting data.
• Demonstrated ability to review large data sets and resolve inventory and costing inconsistencies with a high level of accuracy.
• Solid background in inventory analysis, inventory reconciliation, and support for annual physical inventory activities.
• Familiarity with Epicor ERP and Microsoft Dynamics 365 is strongly preferred.
• Experience building Power BI reports or supporting integrations between manufacturing and financial systems is a plus.

Compensation

$70.00-$80.00 Hourly
