Corporate Paralegal

Houston, TX 77074, US Temporary
Compensation: $31.66 to $36.66 Hourly

We are looking for an experienced Corporate Paralegal to join a public-sector healthcare organization in Houston, Texas on a Contract basis. In this role, you will partner with in-house legal counsel to support contract administration, legal research, procurement-related matters, and day-to-day legal operations. This opportunity is well suited for a highly organized individual who can manage complex documentation, maintain compliance, and contribute to legal processes that support essential community services.

Responsibilities:
• Prepare, edit, and coordinate a broad range of legal and commercial documents, including agreements, amendments, leases, and memoranda of understanding.
• Oversee the movement of contracts through review, approval, signature, renewal, and ongoing compliance monitoring.
• Maintain accurate information within the organization's contract management tools and ensure documentation is current and accessible.
• Perform research on applicable federal and Texas laws and summarize findings for attorneys and internal stakeholders.
• Develop concise legal summaries, memoranda, and briefing materials to support decision-making and legal review.
• Assist with procurement and contracting activities by helping align documentation and processes with applicable Texas regulations.
• Support litigation and dispute-related matters through file organization, document collection, and coordination of response materials.
• Preserve legal records in accordance with established retention requirements and internal governance standards.
• Act as a key point of coordination among Legal, Procurement, and business teams to improve consistency in contracting procedures.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Paralegal Studies, Legal Studies, Business Administration, Public Administration, or a related discipline.
• Paralegal certification from an approved program is required.
• At least five years of experience in paralegal work, legal operations, or contract administration.
• Demonstrated ability to review, manage, and track contracts and other legal documents with a high level of accuracy.
• Strong legal research, analytical thinking, and detail-focused writing capabilities.
• Proven ability to balance multiple deadlines and priorities in a fast-paced work environment.
• Advanced proficiency with Microsoft Office applications and contract management systems.
• Experience in government, public-sector, healthcare, procurement, or grant-supported environments is preferred.

Compensation

$31.66-$36.66 Hourly
