Payroll Clerk with Workday

Robert Half is seeking an experienced Payroll Processor to join our permanent Engagement Professionals (FTEP) team. This role is ideal for a payroll detail oriented who has hands-on experience with Workday and enjoys supporting organizations through critical payroll operations.
As an FTEP, you'll work on a variety of exciting client engagements while enjoying the stability, benefits, and career development opportunities that come with permanent employment at Robert Half.
Key Responsibilities Process bi-weekly, semi-monthly, and monthly payrolls accurately and on schedule. Utilize Workday Payroll to manage employee payroll data, earnings, deductions, taxes, and garnishments. Audit payroll transactions and investigate discrepancies. Maintain employee records and ensure compliance with payroll policies and procedures. Process new hires, terminations, status changes, and compensation updates. Reconcile payroll-related general ledger accounts. Assist with payroll tax filings and year-end activities, including W-2 preparation. Respond to employee payroll inquiries and resolve issues promptly. Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local payroll regulations. Support payroll system upgrades, testing, and process improvements.

Qualifications:

3+ years of payroll processing experience. Hands-on experience using Workday Payroll. Strong understanding of multi-state payroll processing. Knowledge of payroll taxes, garnishments, benefits deductions, and wage and hour regulations. Experience reconciling payroll accounts and supporting audits. Advanced Excel skills, including formulas, pivot tables, and data analysis. Strong attention to detail and ability to meet deadlines. Excellent customer service and communication skills.

Compensation

$20.00-$40.00 Hourly
