In-House Counsel

Responsibilities:

• Support dispute resolution and contract-related conflict management.
• Advise business leaders on transaction structuring, contractual risk, negotiations, and deal execution.
• Draft, review, and negotiate a wide range of commercial agreements, including financing-related contracts, referral and partnership agreements, marketing agreements, and technology/software contracts.
• Lead negotiations with vendors, strategic partners, service providers, and technology companies.
• Maintain and update contract templates, playbooks, and standard agreements.
• Manage the full contract lifecycle, including approvals, renewals, amendments, and terminations.
• Oversee vendor management processes, including onboarding, risk assessments, audits, and regulatory exposure reviews.
• Experience with commercial lending or other financial products is preferred.
• Exposure to capital markets, credit facilities, bank partnership programs, and AI-enabled legal workflows is a plus.

Qualifications:

Strong contract drafting, negotiation, and legal advisory skills.

6+ years of experience in a law firm, regulatory agency, or in-house legal department.

Excellent analytical skills with the ability to assess legal and business risks.

Familiarity with consumer finance, privacy, anti-money laundering, marketing, and related regulatory frameworks is a plus.

Compliance and regulatory experience preferred.

Strong written and verbal communication skills.

Ability to work independently, manage multiple priorities, and thrive in a fast-paced environment.

Detail-oriented, proactive, and collaborative approach to problem-solving.

Juris Doctor (JD) degree required.
