Payroll Specialist (Part-Time)

Our client is seeking a Part-Time Payroll Specialist on a contract basis to support payroll processing during a high-volume period. This onsite role will focus on ensuring timely and accurate payroll administration, including handling complex payroll elements such as shift differentials.

Key Responsibilities:

• Process payroll for hourly and salaried employees on a part-time support basis.
• Review, calculate, and validate payroll data, including shift differentials, overtime, and other earnings adjustments.
• Ensure payroll is processed accurately and in compliance with company policies and applicable regulations.
• Audit timekeeping records and resolve discrepancies related to hours worked, pay rates, and differential pay.
• Respond to payroll-related questions from employees and internal stakeholders.
• Assist with payroll reporting, reconciliations, and documentation as needed.
• Support the payroll team with special projects and coverage during the contract period.

Qualifications:

Qualifications:

• Prior payroll processing experience required.
• Experience with shift differentials and other complex payroll calculations is strongly preferred.
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
• Ability to work independently and manage deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
• Proficiency with payroll systems and Microsoft Excel preferred.
• Strong communication and problem-solving skills.

Preferred Background:

• Experience supporting payroll in environments with multiple shifts, varied pay rates, or high-volume processing.
• Familiarity with payroll compliance and timekeeping systems.
