Staff Accountant

We are seeking a detail-oriented Staff Accountant to support the accounting team with a primary focus on journal entries, account reconciliations, and month-end close activities. This role will also require flexibility to assist with Accounts Payable and payroll processing as business needs shift.

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare and post journal entries accurately and in a timely manner.
• Assist with month-end and year-end close processes.
• Reconcile general ledger accounts and investigate discrepancies.
• Maintain supporting schedules and documentation for balance sheet and income statement accounts.
• Analyze financial data to ensure accuracy and compliance with company policies.
• Provide support for audits and assist with requests for financial documentation.
• Pivot as needed to support Accounts Payable, including invoice processing, vendor communication, and payment runs.
• Assist with payroll activities, including reviewing payroll data, helping ensure timely processing, and supporting payroll reconciliations.
• Collaborate cross-functionally with finance, HR, and operations teams to resolve issues and improve processes.
• Help identify opportunities to streamline accounting workflows and strengthen internal controls.

Qualifications:

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field preferred.
• 2+ years of accounting experience, preferably in a staff accountant or general ledger role.
• Strong experience with journal entries, reconciliations, and close support.
• Working knowledge of Accounts Payable and payroll processes is highly desirable.
• Proficiency with accounting systems and Excel.
• Strong attention to detail, organizational skills, and ability to manage shifting priorities.
• Effective communication skills and a team-first mindset.
