JOB SUMMARY:
Responsible for the working condition of all terminal automated mailing equipment and the safety of its use.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Setup the use of tools and equipment prior to production for optimum safety levels.
  • Basic troubleshooting, maintenance, and repair automated mailing equipment.
  • Work with vendors and other internal groups to resolve maintenance issues.
  • Train operations employees on proper use and basic maintenance of automation machines.
  • Submit reports and participate in weekly Tech calls.
  • Other duties as assigned.

EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE:

  • Minimum one year of experience in a similar role in manufacturing or automated distribution facility.
  • Basic Mechanical (including Hydraulics and Pneumatics), Electrical, and Computer Skills.
  • Basic understanding of industrial machines operating principles.
  • Experience/Ability to work with CMMS.

REQUIREMENTS/SKILLS:

  • Safety oriented mindset
  • Ability to learn and maintain proficiency for MS Office Word, Excel, and Skype
  • Ability to communicate via verbal or written methods with operators, supervisors, engineering.
  • Detail oriented with strong organizational and prioritization skills.
  • Flexible with scheduling based on business need.
  • Positive and team-oriented attitude.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS:

  • Walk, bend, push, reach and lift up to 50 lbs. (additional weight may be required with assistance)
  • Ability to sit and stand for hours at a time.
  • Noise level generated from other distribution activity can be somewhat loud at times, but no damaging levels or protective equipment required.
  • Temperature in the distribution center can vary greatly from warm to cool.
  • Ability to climb and descend stairs, ladders and scaffolds and work at various stages of heights throughout the building.

Pay Range: $25.03 - $38.00/hour
