Summary

Job Title:Registered Nurse

Setting: Level II Trauma Center providing care to outpatients and inpatients

Job Summary:

Provides professional nursing services to accomplish the individual patient plan of care; independently and consistently using the nursing process to safely, therapeutically, and efficiently care for a full assignment of patients with subtle and sometimes unidentified needs.

Qualifications & Requirements

Associates Degree in Nursing

Alaska valid RN license

One (1) year of experience in specialty

Equivalent knowledge, experience, education, or training may be substituted for education

Must have participated in 30 hours every 2 years continuing education in nursing in general, 16 of which

are in the specific area of practice

Current license in the State of Alaska as a Registered Nurse

Current Basic Life Support card required

Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS), and Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) certification

are required within twelve (12) months of hire

Bachelors Degree in Nursing preferred

National certification is preferred
