Data Visualization Analyst
Description
The NISC IV program at Leidos has an opening for a Data Visualization Analyst with prior FAA or federal experience.
The ideal candidate will have a strong background in Power BI, PowerApps, and Power Automate to graphically display relevant data for analysis.
Specific duties for the position include:

Data Analysis and Metrics
- Conduct quantitative and qualitative data analysis to identify trends, risks, and opportunities.
- Develop and maintain performance metrics to track progress, compliance, and outcomes for FAA programs and offices.
- Provide data-driven recommendations to support strategic decision-making and performance improvement.
- Ensure accuracy, integrity, and reliability of data used for analysis and reporting.
- Dashboards and Visualization
- Design and develop visually appealing and intuitive dashboards, reports, and interactive visualizations to present complex data in a clear and concise manner.
- Use data visualization tools such as Power BI, Tableau, or QlikView to create interactive and user-friendly reports.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify requirements and design solutions that communicate key insights effectively.
- Stay current with best practices in dashboard development and visualization to enhance usability and accessibility.

Continuous Improvement and Knowledge Management
- Research industry and other federal agency best practices and provide recommendations for improving program management, data analysis, and reporting practices.
- Identify opportunities to streamline processes, improve data accuracy, and enhance efficiency using fundamental principles of Lean, Six Sigma, and Theory of Constraints.
- Document lessons learned, processes, and standard operating procedures to support organizational knowledge retention.
- Collaborate with management and stakeholders to understand their needs and translate them into actionable visualization projects.
- Use knowledge, skills, and abilities of a wide variety of advanced computer technologies and theories. Maintain an understanding of operations to identify data sources by owner, as well as presentation needs.
Additional responsibilities may include:
Program and Project Management
- Support program and project planning, execution, monitoring, and reporting using scope, schedule, and cost management tools.
- Develop and maintain integrated project schedules, milestones, and deliverables in alignment with FAA requirements.
- Track and report risks, issues, and dependencies, and recommend mitigation strategies.
- Prepare executive-level project briefings, decision memos, and reports that clearly communicate program status, risks, and recommendations.
Technical Writing and Executive Briefings
- Develop, review, and edit technical documentation, project reports, and executive correspondence to ensure accuracy and clarity.
- Create high-quality executive-level presentations and briefing materials for senior leadership, including complex data reporting.
- Maintain consistency of style and messaging across all program and project deliverables.
- Data Analysis and Metrics
Basic Qualifications:
- BA degree and 8+ years of prior relevant experience or Masters with 6+ years of prior relevant experience. Will consider equivalent relevant experience in lieu of a degree.
- Ability to obtain a Public Trust clearance.
- Proficiency in using MS Office (Word, PowerPoint, Excel) Alteryx, Power BI, Tableau, PowerApps, and Power Automate to design dashboards, automate workflows, and present analytical data.
- Demonstrated experience in data analysis, statistical monitoring and reporting.
- Strong Technical Writing skills, with ability to draft clear, concise and accurate reports and presentations.
- Proven ability to produce and communicate high quality Executive presentations and communications, including drafting reports, memos, or responses for senior leadership and external stakeholders.
- Excellent verbal communication skills.
- Able to provide data efficiently and effectively to stakeholders with high quality and integrity.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to anticipate issues and propose solutions.
- Experience with Microsoft Office.
- Optimistic attitude, poise, and team player.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience with federal HR management and compliance frameworks, including OPM. DOT, FAA policies and programs.
- Experience supporting large-scale Program Management Office efforts.
- Previous Government contracting work experience.
- Working knowledge of SharePoint.
- Project Management Certification (e.g., PMP) to demonstrate formal training in managing scope, schedule, and cost.
- Knowledge of data governance, quality assurance, and security practices to ensure compliance with federal standards.
- Ability to perform advanced statistical analysis and modeling using tools such as Python, or SAS.
- Experience in developing and maintaining Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), playbooks, and knowledge management repositories.
- Stakeholder engagement and facilitation skills, including the ability to support cross-functional workshops and collaborative planning sessions.
- Change management and process improvement methodologies (e.g., Lean Six Sigma).

Pay Range:
Pay Range $87,100.00 - $157,450.00The Leidos pay range for this job level is a general guideline only and not a guarantee of compensation or salary.
