Patient Service Representative
We are looking for a Patient Service Representative to support a welcoming and efficient front-end experience for patients in Henrico, Virginia. This contract position with potential to become permanent is ideal for someone who enjoys helping others, communicates professionally, and can manage administrative tasks in a fast-paced healthcare or customer-facing setting. The person in this role will serve as a key point of contact for patients, helping coordinate appointments, answer questions, and keep daily office operations running smoothly.
Responsibilities:
• Coordinate patient appointment scheduling and make updates or changes as needed to support clinic operations.
• Welcome patients professionally, guide them through check-in procedures, and provide clear assistance with service-related questions.
• Complete patient registration activities accurately, ensuring demographic and insurance details are entered and maintained correctly.
• Respond to incoming calls with a strong customer service approach, addressing routine requests and directing concerns appropriately.
• Support front office administrative functions such as documenting interactions, managing records, and maintaining organized workflows.
• Work closely with clinical and administrative team members to create a positive experience for patients and visitors.
• Communicate appointment instructions, office information, and follow-up details in a clear and courteous manner.
• Help maintain smooth daily patient flow by identifying scheduling conflicts and resolving issues in a timely manner
Qualifications:
• Previous experience in a patient-facing, medical office, call center, or administrative support role is preferred.• Strong customer service skills with the ability to interact professionally and empathetically with patients and staff.
• Comfortable scheduling appointments, handling registration tasks, and managing multiple priorities throughout the day.
• Clear verbal and written communication skills with strong attention to accuracy and detail.
• Ability to work effectively in a team-oriented environment and contribute positively to workplace culture.
• Proficiency with standard office systems and the ability to learn healthcare-related software quickly.
• Dependable organizational skills and the ability to maintain professionalism in a busy service environment.
Compensation
