Back End Developer

We are looking for a Back End Developer to support digital design workflows in Libertyville, Illinois. This position focuses on building custom software solutions and automation tools that improve how teams work with Autodesk platforms and related applications. The ideal candidate brings strong programming experience, problem-solving ability, and a practical approach to expanding software functionality through scripting and API development.

Responsibilities:
• Develop and support custom plugins and add-ins for platforms such as Autodesk Revit and Navisworks to enhance project functionality.
• Build automation scripts in Python, Dynamo, or C# to reduce manual effort across tasks like model checks, documentation setup, and information processing.
• Use Revit and related software APIs to extend application capabilities and create tailored technical solutions.
• Investigate and resolve challenging integration problems between software systems, including troubleshooting defects in internally developed tools.
• Evaluate new technologies, including AI-driven solutions and cloud-based automation, to improve delivery efficiency and technical performance.
• Collaborate with project stakeholders to understand workflow needs and translate them into scalable backend development solutions.

Qualifications:

• 5+ years of hands-on experience in backend or software development roles.
• Strong programming ability in C# and Python for application development and automation.
• Hands-on experience working with Autodesk Revit, Autodesk Navisworks, and Autodesk-related development environments.
• Proficiency with JavaScript, HTML, CSS, and modern front-end frameworks to support connected application functionality.
• Experience using APIs to customize software behavior and integrate technical systems.
• Familiarity with NoSQL data environments and debugging complex application issues.
• Ability to analyze repetitive workflows and design efficient automation solutions.

Compensation

$110,000.00-$140,000.00 Yearly
