Software QA Analyst - P&C Background
Responsibilities:
• Develop and manage detailed test scenarios and test cases based on business needs, user stories, and acceptance criteria.
• Perform manual testing across multiple sprint deliverables while maintaining clear visibility into progress, risks, and priorities.
• Run and support automated test coverage using Selenium and related QA tools to improve consistency and efficiency.
• Document defects with precise reproduction steps, supporting evidence, impact details, and environment information so issues can be resolved quickly.
• Re-test resolved issues and complete regression validation to confirm changes do not negatively affect existing functionality.
• Take an active role in Agile ceremonies by contributing testing insight during daily stand-ups, refinement sessions, planning meetings, and retrospectives.
• Partner with business analysts and developers to review requirements early, identify gaps in testability, and reduce downstream rework.
• Assist with release readiness activities, including pre-deployment coordination and post-release smoke testing.
• Support client-facing testing efforts by guiding users through validation activities, helping triage reported issues, and coordinating next steps for resolution.
• Contribute ideas that strengthen QA practices, improve team standards, and enhance overall product quality.
Qualifications:
• 3 to 5 years of practical quality assurance experience within a software development environment.• Demonstrated background in manual testing, defect tracking, and end-to-end test execution.
• Working knowledge of automated testing tools, including Selenium for web-based test coverage.
• Experience operating effectively in Agile software delivery environments and collaborating across sprint teams.
• Familiarity with property and casualty insurance systems, workflows, or business processes.
• Ability to evaluate requirements and acceptance criteria for completeness, clarity, and testability.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to work with both technical teams and non-technical stakeholders.
