AR and Collections Clerk
Robert Half is partnering with a growing healthcare supply chain organization seeking a Junior Accountant – Accounts Receivable & Collections professional to join their accounting team. This position is ideal for a detail-oriented individual who enjoys building customer relationships, resolving account discrepancies, and driving collections efforts to improve cash flow.
The successful candidate will have experience in Accounts Receivable, Collections, Billing, or Accounting and possess strong communication, problem-solving, and organizational skills. This role offers the opportunity to work in a fast-paced environment while collaborating with multiple departments to support financial operations.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage daily Accounts Receivable activities, including invoice review, payment tracking, and customer account maintenance.
- Perform collections efforts on past-due accounts through phone calls, emails, and written correspondence.
- Research and resolve payment discrepancies, deductions, short pays, and billing disputes.
- Accurately apply customer payments and maintain up-to-date customer account balances.
- Review aging reports and prioritize collection activities to reduce outstanding receivables.
- Reconcile customer accounts and maintain accurate account records.
- Partner with internal teams to resolve invoicing issues and improve customer account accuracy.
- Support month-end Accounts Receivable close processes and reporting activities.
- Assist with additional accounting and finance responsibilities as needed.
Qualifications
- 2+ years of experience in Accounts Receivable, Collections, Billing, or Accounting.
- High School Diploma or GED required.
- Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or Business preferred.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite, including strong Excel skills.
- Experience with NetSuite is a plus.
- Strong customer service and relationship-building abilities.
- Excellent communication and negotiation skills.
- Proven problem-solving and account reconciliation experience.
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines independently.
- Positive attitude, professional demeanor, and strong work ethic.

Qualifications:
• At least 1 year of experience in accounts receivable, collections, billing, or a related accounting function.• High school diploma or equivalent required; additional education in accounting, finance, or business is preferred.
• Working knowledge of Microsoft Office applications, with strong capability in Excel.
• Background in commercial collections, cash application, billing support, and accounts receivable processes.
• Ability to manage multiple accounts and deadlines while maintaining close attention to detail.
• Strong communication, customer service, and relationship management skills.
• Solid problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently in a fast-paced setting.
• Experience with NetSuite is beneficial but not required.
