Controller
Responsibilities:
• Direct the monthly close process and ensure financial statements are prepared accurately and on schedule.
• Oversee day-to-day corporate accounting operations, including journal entries, reconciliations, and month-end reporting activities.
• Lead and develop the accounting team, providing guidance, accountability, and support for ongoing performance improvement.
• Manage job cost accounting and project-based financial tracking to maintain visibility into contract performance and profitability.
• Monitor work in progress and apply percentage-of-completion accounting methods in alignment with construction industry practices.
• Review account activity and reconcile balance sheet and income statement accounts to support reliable financial reporting.
• Partner with company leadership to provide financial insight that supports planning, operational decisions, and long-term growth.
• Strengthen accounting processes and internal controls to improve efficiency, accuracy, and consistency across the finance function.
Qualifications:
• 10+ years of progressive accounting or finance experience, including leadership responsibility.• Strong background in month-end close, financial statement preparation, and corporate accounting management.
• Experience within the construction industry, with hands-on knowledge of job costing and project accounting.
• Working knowledge of work-in-progress reporting and percentage-of-completion accounting.
• Proven ability to manage, mentor, and develop accounting staff.
• Skilled in preparing journal entries, completing account reconciliations, and producing month-end financial reports.
• Ability to communicate financial information clearly to leadership and support strategic decision-making.
Compensation
