HR Representative
Our client is in need of an organized HR Representative to support day-to-day human resources operations in Schertz, Texas. This position focuses on employee support, records administration, onboarding coordination, and compliance with company, state, and federal guidelines. The ideal candidate brings strong administrative skills, attention to detail, and the ability to manage sensitive information with professionalism.
Responsibilities:
• Manage employee records and documentation, ensuring updates such as status changes, pay adjustments, and personal information are maintained accurately and in accordance with policy and regulatory requirements.
• Provide administrative support for human resources activities by preparing employment-related documents, processing verifications, and assisting with workers’ compensation and incident-related paperwork.
• Lead onboarding activities for new employees, including orientation sessions, completion of employment documents, eligibility forms, and guidance on employee self-service tools.
• Support leave administration by coordinating documentation and tracking for sick leave, disability cases, and family or medical leave requests.
• Compile data and assist with recurring reports and special assignments related to attendance, safety results, employee programs, and reimbursement activities.
• Serve as a resource for employees by answering questions related to benefits, workplace policies, procedures, and available HR programs.
• Partner with site leadership to complete facility-specific human resources tasks and help maintain smooth daily HR operations.
• Perform general clerical duties such as filing, scanning, record organization, and document handling to maintain an orderly and compliant HR environment.
Qualifications:
• High school diploma or equivalent required; additional post-secondary education is preferred.• 2 to 4 years of experience in human resources support, administrative operations, or a related employee services role.
• Working knowledge of HR practices, record retention, employee relations principles, and applicable labor regulations.
• Experience handling onboarding documentation, employment verification, leave-related paperwork, and benefits support.
• Proficiency with spreadsheet and word processing software, along with standard office equipment.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to interact professionally across departments.
• Excellent organizational skills, accuracy, and attention to detail when managing confidential records and time-sensitive tasks.
• Ability to balance multiple responsibilities, meet deadlines, and maintain dependable attendance and punctuality.
Compensation
