Financial Controller

We are looking for a Financial Controller to join a growing multi-entity organization in Kingston, New York on a permanent basis. This position will act as a senior finance leader, working closely with executive leadership to guide financial planning, strengthen reporting accuracy, and support informed business decisions. The role combines strategic oversight with day-to-day involvement across accounting operations, process improvement, and performance analysis to help the organization scale effectively.

Responsibilities:

• Direct the preparation of monthly, quarterly, and year-end financial statements, ensuring accurate consolidated reporting across multiple entities.

• Review and resolve intercompany activity to maintain reliable balances and consistent reporting between business units.

• Lead the annual budgeting process and ongoing forecasting activities, including cash flow projections and long-range capital planning.

• Evaluate financial performance through variance analysis, modeling, and operational insights that support management decision-making.

• Establish and refine accounting policies, internal controls, and financial procedures to improve compliance, accuracy, and efficiency.

• Collaborate with senior leadership on financial strategy, business planning, and analysis tied to organizational growth initiatives.

• Supervise, develop, and mentor finance team members while promoting accountability and strong cross-functional partnership.

• Contribute to system implementation efforts and broader process improvement projects that enhance the finance function.

Compensation & Benefits:

• Base salary of $110,000–$150,000, with flexibility for exceptional candidates

• Target bonus opportunity of 10%

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a closely related discipline.

• Progressive leadership experience in accounting and finance, including oversight of core financial operations.

• Demonstrated expertise in consolidated reporting, budgeting, forecasting, and internal control management.

• Strong analytical capabilities with experience in cash flow planning, financial analysis, and variance review.

• Advanced proficiency in Excel and familiarity with financial systems or enterprise resource planning platforms.

• Public accounting experience is highly valued.

• Background in a manufacturing environment is strongly preferred.
