Billing Analyst

We are looking for a detail-oriented Billing Analyst to support high-volume invoicing operations for a wholesale distribution organization in Lexington-Fayette, Kentucky. This Long-term Contract position is ideal for someone who works confidently in Excel, stays highly organized, and can manage invoice submission across multiple customer portals with accuracy and consistency. The role will partner with billing and accounts receivable teams to resolve issues, maintain documentation, and keep billing activity moving efficiently.

Responsibilities:
• Prepare and review customer invoices with close attention to accuracy, timing, and supporting details before submission.
• Upload invoices through customer portals and track each submission to ensure billing deadlines are met.
• Use advanced Excel functions to organize billing data, reconcile records, and identify discrepancies requiring follow-up.
• Support accounts receivable activities by researching outstanding items and helping resolve invoice-related questions.
• Maintain complete billing documentation and update internal records so transaction history is easy to verify.
• Work within platforms such as Aderant and Costpoint to process billing transactions and monitor account activity.
• Coordinate with customer service and internal stakeholders on export-related billing matters and documentation needs.
• Investigate billing exceptions, correct errors promptly, and communicate status updates to the appropriate teams.

Qualifications:

• Hands-on experience in billing operations and invoice processing within a fast-paced business environment.
• Working knowledge of accounts receivable procedures and the ability to support issue resolution tied to customer invoices.
• Strong Excel skills, including the ability to sort, reconcile, and manage large sets of billing information.
• Experience using billing or financial systems such as Aderant, Costpoint, or similar platforms.
• Ability to manage frequent portal-based invoice uploads while staying organized and meeting deadlines.
• Familiarity with export customer service processes and documentation is preferred.
• Strong attention to detail, dependable follow-through, and clear communication skills.

Compensation

$19.00-$22.00 Hourly
