Marketing Assistant
A respected university in Minneapolis, Minnesota is seeking a Marketing Administrative Assistant to support its marketing and communications team. This role is ideal for a highly organized professional who enjoys coordinating projects, assisting with events, and managing a variety of administrative responsibilities in a fast-paced academic environment. Key Responsibilities:
- Provide administrative support to the marketing department, including calendar management, meeting coordination, document preparation, and maintaining records. Based on general knowledge.
- Assist with project coordination by tracking timelines, monitoring deliverables, and helping ensure marketing initiatives stay on schedule. Based on general knowledge.
- Support event planning efforts for university programs, campus events, and promotional activities, including logistics, vendor communication, scheduling, and on-site preparation. Based on general knowledge.
- Help organize marketing materials, presentations, and communications for internal and external audiences. Based on general knowledge.
- Coordinate with faculty, staff, students, and external partners to support departmental initiatives. Based on general knowledge.
- Maintain databases, process invoices or purchase requests, and complete other general office support tasks as needed. Based on general knowledge.
- Assist with special projects and contribute to the overall efficiency of the marketing team. Based on general knowledge.
Qualifications:
• Prior experience in an administrative, office support, or similar detail-focused setting.• Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks in a busy work environment.
• Clear and effective written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to follow guidance while also working independently and showing initiative.
• Proficiency with web-based tools, including Gmail, Google Calendar, Google Chat, Google Drive, Google Docs, Google Sheets, and Google Slides.
• High level of accuracy, attention to detail, and comfort maintaining information in cloud-based platforms.
• Experience delivering excellent service to diverse colleagues, partners, and alumni in both in-person and remote settings.
• Familiarity with marketing, communications, event coordination, or related support activities.
Compensation
