Controller

We are looking for an experienced Controller to lead financial oversight for a manufacturing environment in Leesburg, Florida. This position plays a central role in cost accounting, financial reporting, and inventory accuracy while providing leadership with reliable analysis to guide business decisions. The ideal candidate brings strong expertise in manufacturing finance, a disciplined approach to internal controls, and the ability to improve reporting and system performance within Epicor ERP.

Responsibilities:

• Direct cost accounting activities across the organization, including product costing methods, inventory valuation, and ongoing cost reporting.

• Manage the month-end close for inventory and cost of goods sold by ensuring entries are accurate, reconciliations are completed, and financial records remain reliable.

• Produce and review monthly financial results, including profitability trends, margin performance, and key operating metrics for leadership review.

• Oversee inventory governance through cycle count programs, balance reconciliations, and control procedures that support compliance and data accuracy.

• Examine material, labor, and overhead variances, identify root causes, and recommend practical actions to strengthen financial performance.

• Collaborate with operations, purchasing, and plant leadership to improve cost efficiency and support informed decision-making across the business.

• Lead budgeting and forecasting activities by incorporating production assumptions, cost drivers, and operational expectations into financial plans.

• Strengthen and maintain internal controls related to inventory, cost accounting, and financial reporting to reduce risk and support audit readiness.

• Support internal and external audits by preparing documentation, responding to inquiries, and ensuring cost and inventory records are properly supported.

• Drive enhancements within Epicor ERP by improving configuration, reporting quality, and data integrity to support scalability and process efficiency.

Qualifications:

• 5+ years of experience in a Controller or senior-level accounting role with significant responsibility for manufacturing cost accounting.

• Demonstrated expertise in inventory accounting, standard costing, and financial analysis within a manufacturing plant environment.

• Hands-on experience using Epicor ERP required to support accounting processes, reporting, and data accuracy.

• Strong background in variance analysis, including material, labor, and overhead cost review.

• Working knowledge of monthly close procedures, general ledger reconciliations, and financial statement preparation.

• Proven ability to build cross-functional partnerships with operations, procurement, and production teams.

• Solid understanding of internal controls, audit support, and compliance practices related to inventory and financial reporting.

Compensation

$100,000.00-$125,000.00 Yearly
