Quality Assurance Manager
Responsibilities:
• Lead the quality assurance function across multiple manufacturing operations, establishing processes that support consistent product conformance and reliable inspection outcomes.
• Manage quality documentation, including the quality manual and related procedures, and ensure standards are maintained throughout receiving, production, testing, and shipment activities.
• Oversee incoming, in-process, and final inspections for materials and finished goods, confirming alignment with engineering specifications and customer requirements.
• Supervise and develop inspectors and auditors by assigning work, delivering training, and evaluating performance across machining, welding, winding, finishing, assembly, testing, and shipping areas.
• Coordinate the review and disposition of nonconforming materials, issue material review documentation, and maintain controlled areas for discrepant parts until resolution is completed.
• Partner with manufacturing, engineering, sales, and purchasing teams to address quality issues, support source inspections, evaluate vendors, and prepare for customer inquiries and order requirements.
• Ensure calibration schedules for inspection equipment, gauges, and measuring tools are completed on time and that required certifications and records are properly prepared and maintained.
• Host customer and compliance audits, present quality data and inspection records, and provide recommendations to leadership based on trends, risks, and improvement opportunities.
• Maintain accurate test and inspection records, analyze quality performance metrics, and communicate findings that help identify root causes and corrective actions.
• Support departmental leadership responsibilities including employee coaching, performance reviews, staffing recommendations, grievance response, and reinforcement of safe work practices and labor policy compliance.
Qualifications:
• 3+ years of experience in quality assurance, quality control, or inspection leadership within a manufacturing environment.• Background in electronic manufacturing or other complex manufactured products with strong knowledge of product specifications and inspection standards.
• Demonstrated experience leading quality audits, compliance activities, and documentation required to support customer and internal quality systems.
• Strong understanding of in-process inspection, final testing, nonconformance handling, and corrective action practices.
• Ability to lead and develop quality teams while working effectively with cross-functional groups including manufacturing, engineering, sales, purchasing, and leadership.
• Experience using quality records, inspection reports, and quantitative data to evaluate performance and guide process improvements.
• Familiarity with calibration control, quality methodologies, and standard quality assurance procedures used in production settings.
• Working knowledge of NetSuite and willingness to travel internationally as business needs require.
Compensation
