Property Administrator
Responsibilities:
• Manage daily administrative and operational activities for a senior affordable housing property while upholding program requirements and site standards.
• Handle resident certification, annual renewals, and interim income reviews to confirm continued eligibility and accurate file documentation.
• Support the leasing cycle by coordinating move-ins and move-outs, preparing lease-related paperwork, and verifying applicant information.
• Complete applicant screening tasks, including credit and background reviews, in accordance with property policies and compliance guidelines.
• Maintain resident accounts, post rent activity, and update tenant records using property management software such as OneSite or comparable systems.
• Review income verification data and prepare required housing reports to support audits, regulatory reviews, and ongoing compliance.
• Organize tenant, compliance, and occupancy files to ensure documentation remains complete, current, and audit-ready.
• Monitor maintenance requests, follow up on service completion, and help ensure the community remains clean, safe, and well managed.
• Respond to resident questions and concerns professionally while promoting a welcoming and supportive living experience.
• Provide day-to-day coordination for on-site operations and assist with staff oversight or task delegation as needed.
Qualifications:
• At least 2 years of experience in property management, affordable housing administration, or a closely related field.• Working knowledge of Section 8 and other affordable housing compliance standards, including resident eligibility and recertification processes.
• Experience using OneSite, Yardi, or similar property management platforms for recordkeeping, reporting, and account management.
• Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple deadlines and maintain precise documentation.
• Effective communication and customer service skills, with the ability to interact respectfully with senior residents and team members.
• Ability to review financial and tenant information accurately while maintaining confidentiality and regulatory compliance.
• Previous experience leading site activities or guiding on-site staff is preferred.
• Bilingual Spanish skills are a plus.
Compensation
