Accounts Payable Specialist
Responsibilities:
• Manage the full accounts payable process from invoice receipt through final payment and record reconciliation.
• Review invoices for accuracy, assign proper general ledger codes, and ensure supporting documentation is complete.
• Prepare and process vendor payments through ACH transactions and scheduled check runs in accordance with company timelines.
• Maintain accurate payable records, resolve discrepancies, and follow up with internal teams or vendors to address outstanding issues.
• Reconcile accounts payable activity and help ensure all transactions are recorded correctly in the accounting system.
• Support day-to-day use of Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central or similar systems for invoice entry, payment tracking, and reporting.
Qualifications:
• At least 3 years of recent accounts payable experience, including ownership of full-cycle AP activities.• Strong knowledge of invoice coding, account coding, and payment processing procedures.
• Experience handling ACH payments and coordinating check run schedules.
• Proficiency with accounting systems; experience with Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central is strongly preferred.
• Solid attention to detail with the ability to manage a high volume of transactions accurately.
• Effective communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively with vendors and internal stakeholders.
