Overview
We are seeking an experienced Software Developer to join a collaborative development team focused on building and supporting software solutions that integrate engineering, manufacturing, and business systems. This role will be responsible for developing applications, database solutions, reporting platforms, and automation tools that support CAD environments, data analytics, and business process improvements.
The ideal candidate will have a strong background in .NET development, Power BI, SQL databases, Power Platform technologies, and CAD platform integrations, along with a passion for solving complex technical challenges in an engineering-focused environment.
Responsibilities
- Develop, enhance, and maintain software applications and automation scripts that interface with CAD platforms such as AutoCAD and Zuken E3.
- Design, develop, and support SQL database solutions utilizing platforms such as SQL Server and Oracle.
- Create and maintain Power BI reports and dashboards based on business and operational requirements.
- Build and optimize data models using Power BI Desktop, including Power Query and DAX.
- Integrate and transform data from multiple sources including SQL Server, Oracle, JSON, Excel, and other enterprise systems.
- Design and develop solutions utilizing the Microsoft Power Platform, including Power Automate and Power Apps.
- Support software deployments, platform upgrades, testing activities, and post-deployment troubleshooting.
- Assist with migration initiatives, including:
- Converting legacy Excel VBA solutions to modern .NET applications
- Migrating Microsoft Access databases to SQL Server
- Develop and consume web services and APIs to support enterprise integrations.
- Ensure compliance with software validation, quality, and configuration management standards.
- Collaborate closely with engineering, manufacturing, and business stakeholders to gather requirements and deliver effective technical solutions.
- Participate in troubleshooting, performance optimization, and continuous improvement efforts across supported applications.
Qualifications:
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Information Systems, or a related field.
- 5+ years of professional software development experience.
- 3+ years of experience developing Power BI reports, dashboards, and data models.
- Experience with relational database management systems (RDBMS) such as SQL Server and Oracle.
- Proficiency in one or more programming languages including:
- C#
- VB.NET
- Python
- Batch Scripting
- Experience developing and consuming web services and APIs.
- Knowledge of OAuth 2.0 authentication and authorization frameworks.
- Experience with Power Automate and Power Apps.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and debugging skills.
- Excellent communication and collaboration abilities.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience working with CAD APIs, including:
- AutoCAD APIs
- Zuken E3 SDK APIs
- Experience with Snowflake or similar cloud data warehouse platforms.
- Exposure to SaaS-based business intelligence tools, including:
- Power BI
- Tableau
- Sigma
- Understanding of electrical and mechanical engineering concepts and workflows.
- Experience supporting engineering or manufacturing technology environments.
- Familiarity with software lifecycle management, version control, and deployment processes.
Compensation
