Purchasing Clerk
Responsibilities:
• Coordinate purchase order activity for the Engineering Department by working closely with vendors and internal accounting partners.
• Review estimates and supporting documentation to help ensure orders and costs are recorded accurately.
• Prepare and route vendor invoices to Accounts Payable for timely processing and payment.
• Assist with month-end activities, including budget tracking, forecast updates, accrual support, and utility payment coordination.
• Maintain general ledger-related records and help organize financial data for reporting purposes.
• Update and manage Excel workbooks, applying formulas and maintaining accurate data across multiple files.
• Communicate with multiple vendors to resolve questions, confirm details, and support smooth purchasing operations.
Qualifications:
• At least 1 year of experience in purchasing, accounting support, accounts payable, or a related administrative finance role.• Familiarity with invoice processing, data entry, purchase orders, and vendor coordination.
• Working knowledge of Microsoft Excel, including formulas and workbook maintenance.
• Exposure to budgeting, forecasting, accruals, or general ledger support is preferred.
• Ability to manage details carefully while handling multiple tasks and deadlines in an onsite environment.
• Strong communication skills and a detail-oriented approach to working with internal teams and external vendors.
• Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Accounting, Economics, or a related field preferred.
Compensation
