Procurement Specialist
We are looking for a Procurement Specialist to support purchasing operations for a services organization in Middleton, Massachusetts. This is a great opportunity for recent college graduates! This Long-term Contract position focuses on coordinating procurement activities, maintaining accurate order records, and helping ensure materials and services are obtained efficiently. The role is well suited for someone who is organized, detail-oriented, and comfortable managing administrative and logistical tasks in a fast-paced environment.
Responsibilities:
• Process purchase requests and create purchase orders while ensuring accuracy, completeness, and timely follow-through.
• Coordinate with internal teams and external vendors to support day-to-day buying activities and maintain smooth procurement workflows.
• Track order status, delivery timelines, and related logistics to help keep purchasing activities on schedule.
• Maintain procurement data, update spreadsheets, and perform detailed data entry to support reporting and record accuracy.
• Assist with contract-related documentation and support procurement discussions with suppliers as needed.
• Provide administrative support for corporate procurement operations, including organizing files, preparing documents, and responding to routine inquiries.
• Monitor purchasing records and resolve discrepancies involving orders, pricing, or shipment details in collaboration with stakeholders.
Qualifications:
• Experience supporting corporate procurement or purchasing operations in a business environment.• Working knowledge of purchase order processing and standard buying procedures.
• Familiarity with contract negotiation support and supplier coordination.
• Strong data entry skills with a high level of accuracy and attention to detail.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel for maintaining spreadsheets and tracking procurement information.
• Ability to manage logistics coordination and administrative tasks across multiple priorities.
• Effective communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively with internal teams and vendors.
Compensation
