Customer Service Representative
We are looking for a Customer Service Representative to join a motor freight forwarding organization. This contract opportunity has the potential to become permanent and is ideal for someone who thrives in a fast-moving service environment and enjoys supporting client accounts with professionalism, accuracy, and urgency. In this role, you will serve as a key point of contact for customers, partnering with internal teams to coordinate shipment updates, scheduling needs, and account-related inquiries.
Responsibilities:
• Develop and maintain positive client relationships by delivering timely, courteous, and solutions-focused support across customer interactions.
• Work closely with operations and other internal partners to coordinate reporting needs, shipment schedules, and freight status communication.
• Respond to inbound inquiries and customer requests, providing proactive updates on delivery timelines, shipment activity, and service-related matters.
• Track open issues, document account activity thoroughly, and escalate concerns to the appropriate teams when resolution requires additional support.
• Enter and manage order-related information accurately while keeping customer records current and organized.
• Balance multiple service requests at once while meeting response expectations and maintaining a high standard of detail and follow-through.
• Support account management activities by helping customers navigate service questions and operational updates with clarity and professionalism.
Qualifications:
• At least 2 years of experience in customer service, client support, account coordination, or a similar role.• Demonstrated ability to build trust with customers and handle concerns in a detail-oriented, service-oriented manner.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills with the ability to collaborate effectively across departments.
• Ability to stay organized, manage competing priorities, and perform accurately in a fast-paced environment.
• Reliable attendance and a consistent record of punctuality and dependability.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, including Excel.
• Experience with inbound call handling, order entry, account support, or related customer service tools; familiarity with IBM AS400 is a plus.
• Background in transportation, logistics, freight, supply chain, or distribution environments is preferred.
Compensation
