Software Engineer

We are looking for a Software Engineer to focus on enhancing a Windows-based desktop application by introducing new capabilities for submittal document creation and improving the handling of existing documentation. The person in this position will collaborate closely with the development team to validate updates, strengthen application performance, and help deliver reliable software solutions that support business needs.

Responsibilities:

• Enhance a Windows desktop application by building new features that support the creation of submittal documents.

• Improve the way existing submittal records are maintained, accessed, and managed within the application.

• Partner with developers to review, validate, and refine software updates before release.

• Write, update, and troubleshoot application code using Microsoft development tools and .NET technologies.

• Contribute to testing efforts by identifying defects, verifying fixes, and helping maintain software quality.

• Work with database components, including queries and stored procedures, to support application functionality and data accuracy.

• Participate in the full software development lifecycle, from design discussions through implementation and validation.

Qualifications:

• At least 5 years of software development experience using Visual Studio and the .NET Framework.
• Proficiency in C# and VB, with hands-on experience developing desktop applications.
• Strong background working with WinForms and ASP.NET in production environments.
• Solid understanding of database design principles, stored procedures, and data manipulation in Microsoft SQL Server.
• Familiarity with all phases of the software development lifecycle.
• Ability to collaborate effectively with technical teams on coding changes and testing activities.
• Additional exposure to tools or technologies such as bug tracking systems, C++, Ajax, CSS, Eclipse, Apache Struts, or framework-based development is beneficial.

Compensation

$71.25-$82.50 Hourly
