Patient Consultant 3 positions available

We are looking for a Patient Consultant Specialist to join a private surgical practice in Chattanooga, Tennessee. This Contract to permanent opportunity is ideal for someone who enjoys creating a smooth, supportive experience for patients while balancing scheduling, registration, and front office coordination. The person in this role will serve as a key point of contact for patients, helping them understand next steps, complete registration requirements, follow up and assist with closing, and stay informed throughout their care journey.

***Ability to earn additional monthly incentive based on individual and team results up to $2,000 per month***

Responsibilities:

• Guide patients through registration, appointment coordination, and follow-up activities while delivering attentive and compassionate service.

• Arrange consultations, procedures, post-operative visits, and related appointments in a way that supports efficient provider scheduling.

• Explain treatment-related logistics, preparation steps, financial expectations, and recovery instructions so patients know what to expect.

• Process patient payments, record transactions accurately, issue receipts, and support daily balancing and deposit preparation.

• Maintain clear communication with patients and families regarding reminders, schedule updates, preparation needs, and post-visit questions.

• Support daily reception and front desk operations by welcoming visitors, managing workflow, and helping maintain an organized office environment.

• Enter and update demographic, insurance, and consent information in the electronic medical record while ensuring documentation is complete and accurate.

• Complete check-in and check-out activities, including verifying information, reviewing charges, collecting co-pays, and arranging future appointments.

• Protect confidential patient information and handle all interactions in a manner that reflects privacy standards and sound discretion.

• Assist with additional administrative tasks, reporting needs, and special assignments as requested by leadership.

Qualifications:

• Ability to provide excellent service while building trust with patients in a clinical setting.

• Strong communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to respond thoughtfully to sensitive situations.

• Experience scheduling appointments and coordinating multiple priorities in a fast-paced medical environment.

• Familiarity with insurance verification, payment collection, and discussing patient financial responsibility.

• Comfortable using electronic medical records and Microsoft Office applications for daily documentation and workflow management.

• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills to maintain accurate records and support smooth office operations.
