Leave Administrator

• Administer end-to-end leave of absence cases, including intake, documentation, tracking, approvals, and return-to-work processes
• Interpret and apply leave policies, procedures, and relevant employment laws
• Serve as the primary point of contact for employees, managers, and HR regarding leave requests and accommodations
• Review medical certifications and supporting documentation for completeness and compliance
• Coordinate with payroll, benefits, HR, managers, and third-party administrators as needed
• Maintain accurate employee leave records and case files in HRIS or case management systems
• Monitor leave balances, eligibility, deadlines, and required follow-up actions
• Communicate leave status, required documentation, and next steps to employees in a timely and professional manner
• Support return-to-work planning, including fitness-for-duty documentation and workplace accommodations where applicable
• Prepare reports and audits related to leave activity, compliance, and trends
• Ensure confidentiality of sensitive employee and medical information

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field preferred
• 2+ years of experience in leave administration, benefits administration, HR operations, or employee relations
• Knowledge of applicable leave laws and regulations, including FMLA, ADA, state leave laws, and disability programs
• Experience working with HRIS, leave management systems, and Microsoft Office Suite
• Strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple cases simultaneously
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Strong problem-solving, organizational, and customer service skills
• Ability to handle sensitive and confidential information with discretion
