Molecular Biology Laboratory Technician



Our laboratory studies mineral and electrolyte physiology, with a focus on how the kidney tubule handles electrolytes in the context of hypertension, diabetes, and pregnancy and lactation. Our work spans molecular, cellular, and translational approaches to understand these processes and their relevance to human disease. The laboratory technician will work closely with other scientific personnel, including postdoctoral fellows, graduate students, and clinical research staff, in a collaborative and fast-paced research environment.

  • Must be able to independently perform standard molecular laboratory tasks, including
    • Molecular biology techniques (e.g. immunobloting)
    • Cell imaging techniques (immunofluorescence confocal microsopy)
    • ELISAs
    • Metabolite measurement
    • Analysis: Graphpad Prism, Excel, FIJI, RedCap
    • Collection and processing of tissue specimens from euthanized animals

A High School Diploma or GED is required for this position and a Bachelor's degree is Preferred.
