POSITION SUMMARY:

The Mobile Donation Attendant is responsible for providing a safe, welcoming, and efficient donation experience at Goodwill’s mobile donation trailers and temporary donation sites throughout the service territory. This position receives donations from the public, assists donors with unloading items, presorts and stages donations, maintains trailer organization, and ensures the mobile donation site is clean, safe, and donor-ready.This role serves as the frontline representative of Goodwill at mobile donation locations. The Mobile Donation Attendant supports Goodwill’s mission by delivering excellent donor service, protecting donated goods, following safety and donation-handling procedures, and helping ensure donations move efficiently from the mobile site to the next step in the retail supply chain.

Duties will also include but are not limited to:

  • Accept donations according to Goodwill’s donation acceptance guidelines and donor service standards.
  • Prepare donations for pickup, transfer, or transportation to the assigned store, outlet, distribution center, or other Goodwill location.
  • Follow all safety procedures related to working outdoors, around vehicles, and in changing weather conditions.
  • Escalate complex donor questions, complaints, safety concerns, or unusual situations to the supervisor.
  • Ensure carts, bins, containers, donation receipts, signage, and supplies are ready for daily operations.
  • Supervise Multi-Site Donation Supervisors, Mobile Donation Specialists, Donation Express Attendants, and other assigned donation operations team membersEscalate complex donor questions, complaints, safety concerns, or unusual situations to the supervisor.
  • Lead root-cause problem solving for donation site challenges, including overflow, poor site conditions, low donation volume, donor complaints, or transportation delays.
  • Communicate donation volume, trailer capacity, site conditions, and operational needs to the supervisor.

Travel: This position requires travel, and the individual must be willing to travel as needed.

Required Education & Experience:

  • High School Diploma AND 3 years Experience OR
  • Associates degree And 2 year experience OR
  • Bachelors and 1 year experience.

Required Experience:

  • Follow donation acceptance guidelines and operating procedures
  • Communicate clearly with donors, supervisors, and transportation partners
  • Recognize and report safety, security, maintenance, or capacity concerns

    External Hiring Range: $16.00/hour

    REQUIRED CLEARANCES, LICENSES, AND CERTIFICATIONS:

    • Candidates are expected to provide current, valid clearances (Child Abuse Clearance, FBI, and PA PATCH)
