Fabrication Production Planner
Position Summary:
We are seeking a Fabrication Production Planner to coordinate production workflows, schedules, and material requirements to ensure timely delivery of fabricated products. This Fabrication Production Planner will optimize resources to minimize downtime, manage inventory levels, and resolve bottlenecks between sales, engineering, and the production floor.
Key Responsibilities:
- Production Scheduling: Develop, maintain, and adjust detailed manufacturing schedules (MPS) to meet customer demand and sales forecasts.
- Workflow Optimization: Coordinate with fabrication teams to optimize resources, reduce bottlenecks, and manage production timelines.
- Material Control: Monitor inventory levels, initiate purchase requisitions, and ensure material availability to meet production schedules.
- Order Management: Release manufacturing orders based on MRP and track progress, providing regular status updates.
- Problem Solving: Address production disruptions, material shortages, or machinery issues.
Qualifications:
- Technical Proficiency: Knowledge of ERP/MRP software systems for planning and tracking.
- Analytical Skills: Ability to analyze forecasts and production rates to make data-driven decisions.
- Communication: Strong communication skills to liaise between procurement, production, and sales teams.
- Education/Experience: Aassociate’s or bachelor’s degree in business or engineering, along with relevant manufacturing experience.

- Technical Proficiency: Experience with ERP/MRP systems and understanding fabrication manufacturing (e.g., machining, welding, sheet metal).

- Attention to Detail: High accuracy in scheduling and inventory record maintenance.

Working Conditions:
The typical work environment is a standard office setting. The employee is frequently required to perform work in a
manufacturing environment. Frequently required to sit for extended periods of time at computer.
