NeoGenomics has an opening for Maintenance Technician I who wants to continue to learn in order to allow our company to grow.

Shift Time: Tuesday to Saturday 2:00pm to 10:30pm

Position Summary:

The Facilities Tech I will be responsible for general building maintenance. Maintain a clean and organized facility on a daily basis and support Facilities personnel as needed.

Core Responsibilities:

  • General building maintenance (light electrical, plumbing, drywall repair, lighting replacement, and other facility related issues).
  • Furniture assembly, teardown and modification.
  • Assist in relocation of staff as needed.
  • Assist 3rd party maintenance personnel as needed.
  • Responsible for maintaining a neat and orderly facility.
  • Facility/EHS daily, weekly, and monthly inspections.
  • Other duties as assigned.

  • Complete all planned Quality & Compliance training within the defined deadlines.
  • Identify and report any quality or compliance concerns and take immediate corrective action as required.
  • Knowledge and understanding of Facilities Work Instructions and the ability to operate within their scope and parameters.
  • The ability to accurately understand and complete facility related documentation as it applies to facility infrastructure requirements.

Experience, Education and Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • 1+ years of experience in general building maintenance and repair.
  • Organizational skills.
  • Self-motivator and a team player.
  • Flexible work schedule (On call).
  • Basic computer skills.
  • Ability to communicate effectively and follow written and verbal instructions.
  • General office environment. Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions.
  • Adheres to Department Specific Safety Guidelines.
  • Standing, sitting, walking, bending, reaching, manual manipulation, and lifting up to 50 pounds.
  • Adhere to department rules and protocols as well as company regulations stated in the Employee Handbook.
  • Other duties as assigned by Facilities Management.
  • Maintain a pleasant and cooperative relationship with co-workers and other departments.
  • Work Schedule – Tuesday through Saturday.
  • Travel (as required)


The Facilities Maintenance focus specializes in maintaining, repairing, inspecting buildings to identify maintenance issues, equipment and grounds, including plumbing, electrical and HVAC. Performs skilled trades work, such as carpentry or painting in the construction, repair or alteration of structures such as walls, roofs or office fixtures. This role focuses on learning and executing basic, routine tasks that follow clearly defined procedures, with close supervision and detailed instructions, requiring minimal independent judgment and having an impact limited to individual responsibilities with interaction primarily within the immediate team.
