Payroll Manager
Responsibilities:
• Manage complete payroll cycles for a workforce of more than 500 employees, ensuring pay is processed accurately and on schedule.
• Administer payroll activities across multiple states while applying current tax, wage, and regulatory requirements.
• Review payroll data for completeness and accuracy, investigate discrepancies, and resolve issues before final processing.
• Use ADP Workforce Now and related payroll systems to maintain employee records, process changes, and generate payroll outputs.
• Partner with HR, finance, and other internal teams to coordinate employee updates, deductions, benefits, and compensation changes.
• Prepare payroll reports, support audits, and maintain documentation that meets internal standards and compliance requirements.
• Monitor payroll practices and recommend process improvements that strengthen efficiency, controls, and service quality.
• Support payroll-related system updates or platform changes as needed while helping maintain continuity of payroll operations.
Qualifications:
• Proven experience leading full-cycle payroll processing in a high-volume environment.
• Strong working knowledge of multi-state payroll laws, tax regulations, and compliance standards.
• Experience managing payroll for organizations with more than 500 employees.
• Hands-on proficiency with ADP Vangtage.
• Broad payroll expertise, including earnings, deductions, garnishments, and employee record maintenance.
• Strong attention to detail with the ability to identify errors and resolve payroll discrepancies effectively.
• Ability to manage deadlines, maintain confidentiality, and work independently in a contract assignment.
