Human Resources (HR) Administrator
We are looking for a Human Resources (HR) Administrator to join a wholesale distribution organization. This onsite contract opportunity supports daily HR operations while also assisting with light accounting-related tasks, making it a strong fit for someone who is organized, discreet, and comfortable managing multiple priorities. The role focuses primarily on human resources administration, including employee support, document handling, and coordination activities, with additional involvement in invoice processing and administrative follow-through.
Responsibilities:
• Serve as a key point of contact for employees by responding to questions related to benefits, policies, and routine personnel matters in a thorough and timely manner.
• Support the HR Director with day-to-day coordination, including arranging meetings, managing schedules, drafting correspondence, and helping keep departmental activities on track.
• Maintain personnel documentation by preparing, scanning, filing, distributing, and updating confidential records, reports, and HR materials with a high level of accuracy.
• Assist with recruitment activities by scheduling interviews, communicating with candidates, and helping ensure the recruitment process moves smoothly from start to finish.
• Handle pre-employment screening coordination and related employment documentation to support onboarding and compliance needs.
• Review incoming invoices, confirm required backup is included, track approvals, and forward completed items to Accounting for payment processing.
• Protect sensitive employee and organizational information by maintaining secure paper and electronic files and following established confidentiality standards.
• Organize daily administrative work effectively, balance competing priorities, and provide dependable support to meet team deadlines and business needs.
Qualifications:
• Previous experience in HR administration, office coordination, or a similar support-focused role.• Working knowledge of employee records management, benefits-related support, and general human resources processes.
• Familiarity with background checks, legal forms, and business correspondence used in an HR environment.
• Ability to handle confidential information with discretion and maintain accurate documentation.
• Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines in an onsite setting.
• Experience supporting invoice review, approval tracking, or light accounts payable activities is preferred.
• Clear written and verbal communication skills for interacting with employees, candidates, and internal departments.
Compensation
