Accounting Specialist

Are you an accounting professional who thrives on bringing order to the numbers and making an immediate impact? We are seeking an Accounting Specialist to support our client's team on a 2-3 month contract assignment during. In this hands-on role, you'll play a key part in keeping daily accounting operations running smoothly, supporting everything from AP and AR to reconciliations and month-end activities. This is an excellent opportunity to step into a collaborative environment, apply your accounting expertise, and contribute from day one while gaining exposure to a variety of accounting functions and systems.

Responsibilities

• Process accounts payable invoices and ensure timely payments
• Generate invoices and assist with accounts receivable activities
• Reconcile bank, credit card, and general ledger accounts
• Assist with month-end close procedures and journal entries
• Review financial data for accuracy and resolve discrepancies
• Maintain organized accounting records and documentation
• Support expense reporting and coding of transactions
• Assist with special projects and reporting as needed
• Communicate with vendors and internal departments regarding accounting inquiries

Qualifications:

Qualifications

• 2+ years of accounting, bookkeeping, or related experience
• Experience with accounts payable, accounts receivable, and reconciliations
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and accounting software/ERP systems
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines

Preferred Skills

• Experience supporting month-end close activities
• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
