Accounts Receivable Supervisor/Manager

Compensation: $35.63 to $41.25 Hourly

We are looking for an experienced Accounts Receivable Supervisor/Manager to support a manufacturing organization in Ontario, California. This Contract position is ideal for a finance specialist who can oversee receivables operations, strengthen commercial collections, and maintain accurate cash application and billing activity. The person in this role will help improve visibility into outstanding balances while partnering with internal teams to keep customer accounts current and well managed.

Responsibilities:
• Lead daily accounts receivable activities, ensuring timely invoicing, payment posting, and follow-up on open customer balances.
• Manage commercial collections efforts by contacting customers, resolving payment issues, and reducing overdue accounts in a thorough manner.
• Review aging reports regularly to identify risk areas, prioritize collection strategies, and escalate concerns when needed.
• Oversee cash application processes to ensure incoming payments are matched accurately and discrepancies are researched promptly.
• Supervise billing functions to confirm invoices are issued correctly, on schedule, and in alignment with customer terms.
• Partner with sales, customer service, and finance teams to address account questions, resolve disputes, and support accurate account reconciliation.
• Monitor receivables performance metrics and prepare clear updates on collection status, past-due trends, and account exposure.
• Support process improvements within the receivables function, including updates tied to operational or system-related changes when applicable.

Qualifications:

• 5+ years of experience in accounts receivable, including leadership responsibility over AR or collections activities.
• Strong background in commercial collections, cash applications, and customer account reconciliation.
• Demonstrated ability to analyze aging reports and take action to improve collection results.
• Experience overseeing billing processes with a high level of accuracy and attention to detail.
• Comfortable working cross-functionally in a manufacturing environment to resolve payment and invoicing issues.
• Proficiency with standard accounting systems and spreadsheet tools used for receivables tracking and reporting.
• Strong communication and problem-solving skills, with the ability to manage customer interactions professionally.

Compensation

$35.63-$41.25 Hourly
