Business Services Coordinator
Responsibilities:
• Build and maintain relationships with local employers to increase awareness of available business services and workforce support programs.
• Assess hiring needs, skill gaps, and training priorities for partner organizations, then align suitable candidates with approved openings.
• Work closely with training and program teams to identify participants who may be a strong fit for current employer opportunities.
• Review labor market data and regional employment trends to help shape competitive and relevant training recommendations.
• Participate in rapid response activities related to business closures or workforce reductions in coordination with leadership and partner agencies.
• Conduct outreach and follow-up with employers to evaluate service effectiveness and identify opportunities for continuous improvement.
• Partner with internal departments and external organizations to strengthen communication, coordination, and shared workforce initiatives.
• Maintain accurate records in internal databases and support timely reporting related to business services activity.
• Represent the organization at job fairs, community meetings, chamber events, and other employment-focused gatherings as needed.
• Provide administrative support across related assignments while remaining available for occasional evening or weekend events.
Qualifications:
• Minimum of 2 years of experience in administrative coordination, workforce services, employer relations, or a related field.• Experience supporting job fairs, community events, or outreach initiatives involving employers and job seekers.
• Knowledge of labor market information and the ability to use data to support business and training decisions.
• Strong communication and relationship-building skills with community partners, employers, and internal stakeholders.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities, maintain accurate documentation, and keep records up to date in internal systems.
• Detail-oriented presence and confidence when representing an organization in public, community, and business settings.
• Flexibility to work evenings and weekends when business needs or events require additional coverage.
Compensation
