Bookkeeper

We are looking for a detail-oriented Bookkeeper to support day-to-day financial operations for a team in Louisville, Kentucky. This Long-term Contract position is ideal for someone who is comfortable managing core accounting activities, maintaining accurate financial records, and working confidently in QuickBooks. The person in this role will help keep payables, receivables, and reconciliations organized while contributing to consistent and reliable reporting.

Responsibilities:
• Maintain accurate financial records by posting transactions, updating ledgers, and verifying supporting documentation.
• Process vendor invoices and payment activity in a timely manner to keep accounts payable current and well organized.
• Monitor incoming payments, record customer transactions, and follow up on outstanding balances as part of accounts receivable support.
• Perform routine bank and account reconciliations to ensure balances match financial records and discrepancies are resolved promptly.
• Use QuickBooks to manage bookkeeping tasks, track activity, and produce clear financial information for review.
• Review accounting entries for accuracy and completeness while helping maintain orderly documentation for daily financial operations.

Qualifications:

• Hands-on experience in bookkeeping with responsibility for day-to-day financial transaction processing.
• Proficiency in QuickBooks for recording activity, maintaining accounts, and supporting reporting needs.
• Working knowledge of accounts payable procedures, including invoice handling and payment tracking.
• Experience managing accounts receivable, cash posting, and monitoring outstanding payments.
• Ability to complete bank reconciliations accurately and investigate variances when needed.
• Strong attention to detail, sound organizational skills, and a dependable approach to maintaining accurate records.

Compensation

$23.75-$25.00 Hourly
