Human Resources (HR) Generalist

Compensation: $70 to $80 Yearly

We are looking for an HR Generalist to support core people operations and help create a positive, inclusive employee experience in Boston, Massachusetts. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys balancing day-to-day HR administration with employee support, recruitment coordination, and benefits-related work. The successful candidate will bring practical HR knowledge, sound judgment, and a collaborative approach to serving a mission-focused organization.

Responsibilities:
• Manage daily human resources activities across employee relations, records administration, onboarding, and general staff support.
• Coordinate recruitment efforts by assisting with job postings, candidate communication, interview scheduling, and pre-employment processes.
• Lead onboarding activities for new employees to ensure they are set up for success from their first day through orientation and early employment.
• Administer benefits processes, including enrollments, changes, and employee questions, while maintaining accurate documentation.
• Maintain and update HR information systems and personnel records to support data accuracy, reporting, and compliance needs.
• Respond to employee inquiries with professionalism and discretion, helping resolve workplace concerns and escalating issues when appropriate.
• Support HR policy administration and help ensure practices align with applicable employment laws and organizational standards.
• Partner with internal stakeholders to strengthen people operations processes and contribute to an inclusive, employee-centered workplace.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Nonprofit Management, or a related discipline is preferred.
• At least 3 years of experience in human resources or people operations, preferably within a nonprofit or mission-oriented setting.
• Demonstrated experience supporting recruitment, employee onboarding, and benefits administration.
• Working knowledge of employment law, HR compliance practices, and HR information systems is strongly preferred.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills with the ability to build trust across diverse teams.
• Effective problem-solving skills and sound judgment when handling sensitive employee matters.
• Commitment to fostering a supportive and inclusive workplace culture.

Compensation

$70,000.00-$80,000.00 Yearly
