AR Staff Accountant

We are looking for an AR Staff Accountant to join a real estate property and facilities management organization in West Palm Beach, Florida. This contract opportunity with permanent potential is ideal for someone who thrives in a fast-paced, high-volume environment and can bring strong attention to detail to daily receivables activity. The position supports critical accounting operations by managing incoming payments, maintaining accurate financial records, and helping resolve payment processing issues through careful analysis.

Responsibilities:
• Process a large volume of incoming payments accurately and in a timely manner across multiple receipt channels.
• Record cash activity, apply customer payments, and ensure transactions are reflected properly within the accounting system.
• Prepare journal entries and support the integrity of the general ledger through consistent documentation and review.
• Reconcile bank accounts and investigate discrepancies to maintain accurate cash balances.
• Generate and review aging reports to monitor outstanding receivables and highlight collection concerns.
• Analyze lockbox activity, identify posting issues, and help resolve exceptions that interrupt payment processing.
• Assist with month-end close tasks related to accounts receivable and cash accounts.
• Support a demanding workload by prioritizing overdue posting activity and maintaining organized records in a high-volume setting.

Qualifications:

• Hands-on experience in accounts receivable within a high-volume accounting environment.
• Working knowledge of bank reconciliations, cash application, and payment posting procedures.
• Ability to prepare journal entries and maintain accuracy within the general ledger.
• Experience producing and interpreting aging reports for receivables management.
• Strong analytical skills with the ability to research and resolve payment discrepancies.
• Proficiency in month-end close support related to receivables and cash accounts.
• Real estate property management industry experience is strongly preferred.
• Familiarity with Vantaca is helpful but not required; training will be provided.

Compensation

$25.65-$29.70 Hourly
