Bookkeeper

We are looking for an experienced Bookkeeper to support day-to-day financial operations for a growing organization in Carle Place, New York. This position is ideal for someone who is highly organized, comfortable managing detailed accounting records, and confident using QuickBooks Online in a fast-paced setting. The role will focus on maintaining accurate financial data, supporting cash flow activities, and ensuring timely processing of payables, receivables, and reconciliations.

Responsibilities:
• Maintain accurate financial records by recording daily transactions and keeping bookkeeping data current and organized.
• Process vendor invoices, schedule payments, and monitor accounts payable activity to ensure obligations are handled on time.
• Manage customer billing, apply incoming payments, and follow up on outstanding balances to support accounts receivable accuracy.
• Reconcile bank accounts and other financial statements regularly to identify discrepancies and resolve issues promptly.
• Use QuickBooks Online to enter, review, and update accounting information while preserving clean and reliable records.
• Assist with preparing routine financial reports and summaries to support business decision-making and internal tracking.
• Review accounting entries for completeness and accuracy, making corrections as needed to maintain dependable reporting.
• Collaborate with internal stakeholders to gather financial details, clarify transaction questions, and support ongoing accounting operations.

Qualifications:

• At least 5 years of detail-focused bookkeeping experience in a business environment.
• Hands-on proficiency with QuickBooks Online is required.
• Strong working knowledge of accounts payable, accounts receivable, and general bookkeeping practices.
• Experience performing bank reconciliations and resolving account discrepancies with accuracy.
• High attention to detail with the ability to manage multiple financial tasks efficiently.
• Solid organizational and time management skills in a deadline-driven environment.
• Comfortable handling confidential financial information with care and discretion.

Compensation

$75,000.00-$90,000.00 Yearly
