Customer Service Representative
Responsibilities:
• Welcome visitors professionally and create a positive experience for customers upon arrival.
• Review forms and supporting documents to confirm that required information is complete before processing.
• Direct customer flow by monitoring and updating the queue system to keep service moving efficiently.
• Evaluate vision screening outcomes and record qualifying results accurately in the appropriate computer system.
• Provide hands-on assistance to individuals using self-service kiosks and answer basic process-related questions.
• Capture customer photographs for driver's license-related transactions while following established procedures.
• Perform data entry and routine clerical support with close attention to detail and accuracy.
• Help maintain an organized service area while supporting day-to-day office operations as needed.
Qualifications:
• Prior experience in customer service, front-desk support, or administrative assistance is required.• Strong data entry skills with the ability to handle information accurately and efficiently.
• Comfortable reviewing paperwork and identifying missing or incomplete information.
• Ability to interact courteously with the public and provide clear guidance in a busy office setting.
• Basic computer proficiency and confidence using queue management or similar service tools.
• Ability to manage multiple tasks, stay organized, and maintain professionalism throughout the workday.
• Experience supporting government or public sector offices, including a New York State agency, is preferred.
Compensation
