Accounting Clerk

We are looking for an Accounting Clerk to support day-to-day financial operations for a construction-focused organization. This position is ideal for someone who can manage transactional accounting tasks with accuracy, maintain organized records, and help keep billing and payment activities on schedule. The role requires strong familiarity with core accounting processes, dependable data entry skills, and confidence working within QuickBooks.

Responsibilities:
• Process vendor invoices, verify supporting documentation, and prepare payments in accordance with company procedures.
• Maintain accounts receivable records by issuing invoices, tracking incoming payments, and following up on outstanding balances.
• Enter financial data into accounting systems with a high degree of accuracy and attention to detail.
• Reconcile account activity and investigate discrepancies to help ensure complete and reliable records.
• Assist with routine bookkeeping tasks and support the preparation of internal financial reports.
• Organize and maintain accounting files, payment records, and invoice documentation for easy retrieval and audit readiness.
• Use QuickBooks to record transactions, update account information, and monitor daily accounting activity.
• Support invoice processing workflows and contribute to efficient handling of high-volume clerical accounting tasks.

Qualifications:

• At least 5 years of experience in an accounting clerk or similar accounting support position.
• Hands-on experience managing both accounts payable and accounts receivable activities.
• Proficiency with QuickBooks in a business accounting environment.
• Strong data entry skills with consistent accuracy and attention to detail.
• Experience processing invoices and maintaining complete financial documentation.
• Ability to identify discrepancies, solve routine accounting issues, and keep records organized.
• Comfortable working in a fast-paced construction or contractor environment.

Compensation

$72,800.00-$73,000.00 Yearly
