PC Technician
Responsibilities:
• Provide first-level desktop support for faculty, staff, and students by troubleshooting common hardware, software, and access-related issues.
• Support users working on both Windows and macOS devices, resolving technical problems in a timely and detail-oriented manner.
• Help end users connect to the wireless network and address basic connectivity concerns affecting their devices.
• Install and configure Microsoft Office applications and other standard productivity tools required for daily use.
• Set up and maintain printing software, ensuring users can download, install, and use printing services successfully.
• Perform account-related support tasks such as password resets and new account setup in accordance with established procedures.
• Assist with computer hardware tasks, including peripheral connections, cable setup, and basic device troubleshooting.
• Work with equipment from various manufacturers to diagnose issues and restore functionality.
• Document support activities and communicate clearly with users regarding issue status, next steps, and resolution.
• Escalate more complex technical problems when necessary while maintaining a high level of customer service.
Qualifications:
• Prior experience providing end-user or desktop support in a detail-focused environment.• Working knowledge of both Windows and macOS operating systems.
• Familiarity with computer hardware, associated peripherals, and basic troubleshooting techniques.
• Ability to install software, configure user applications, and support printing-related tools.
• Experience assisting with wireless connectivity, password support, and user account setup.
• Hands-on exposure to cable installation and workstation setup tasks.
• Familiarity with Dell systems and Apple devices.
• Strong communication skills and a service-oriented approach to technical support.
Compensation
