Quality Assurance Specialist

We are looking for a detail-oriented Quality Assurance Specialist to support testing activities for a Contract position based in Rochester, New York. This role focuses on validating web-based applications through a blend of manual testing and Selenium-driven automation. The ideal candidate will help maintain product quality by identifying issues, documenting findings, and working closely with stakeholders to improve overall system performance.

Responsibilities:
• Execute manual and automated test activities for web applications to confirm functionality, usability, and reliability.
• Develop, maintain, and run Selenium-based test scripts to improve test coverage and support repeatable validation efforts.
• Record defects clearly, track issue resolution, and verify fixes through structured retesting.
• Prepare and organize test data, upload required documents, and complete supporting data entry with a high degree of accuracy.
• Collaborate with cross-functional team members to review requirements, clarify expected outcomes, and align testing priorities.
• Document test cases, test results, and quality metrics to provide visibility into product readiness.
• Participate in regression testing cycles to ensure updates do not negatively affect existing features.

Qualifications:

• Experience in quality assurance for software applications, including both manual testing and structured validation processes.
• Hands-on familiarity with Selenium for web browser automation and execution of repeatable test scenarios.
• Ability to identify, document, and communicate software defects in a clear and organized manner.
• Proficiency with Microsoft tools for tracking work, maintaining documentation, and reporting results.
• Strong attention to detail when handling data entry, document uploads, and test evidence.
• Effective communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively in a team-oriented environment.

Compensation

$18.05-$23.00 Hourly
