Patient Care Coordinator

Robert Half is partnering with a healthcare facility in search of a Patient Care Coordinator to support a their team in Burnsville, Minnesota. This role will start in a contract capacity, but has the potential to turn into a contract-to-hire position for the right fit. In this role, you will be focused on creating a smooth experience for patients by coordinating the scheduling of follow-up visits and testing, interacting directly with patients both in person and by phone. The ideal candidate will be organized, compassionate, and comfortable managing scheduling and records in a fast-paced clinical environment.

Responsibilities:

• Welcome and assist patients with questions, check-in support, and general guidance during their visit.

• Coordinate follow-up patient appointments and testing for specialty clinic appointments, managing the calendar of 1-2 main specialty practitioners daily.

• Maintain and update patient medical documentation with a high level of accuracy and confidentiality.

• Communicate with patients regarding upcoming visits, appointment changes, and required information before services are provided.

• Review patient information during intake to help ensure records are complete and current.

• Work closely with clinical and administrative staff to support timely patient care and resolve scheduling issues.

• Monitor calendars and adjust appointments as needed to accommodate provider availability and patient needs.

Qualifications:

• 2+ years of prior patient scheduling experience, ideally in a specialty clinic setting supporting 1-2 clinicians regularly.

• Experience coordinating physician and patient schedules in a healthcare or clinical setting.

• Working knowledge of patient medical records management and documentation practices.

• Ability to schedule appointments accurately while handling multiple priorities.

• Strong patient service skills with a detail-oriented and compassionate approach.

• Prior experience with Epic, Cerner or another EHR is highly desired.

• Excellent communication skills and attention to detail.

• Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information appropriately.
