Payroll Specialist
Our client is seeking an experienced Payroll Specialist to join their team on a contract basis through year-end, with potential for permanent hire. This is a great opportunity for a payroll professional who enjoys process improvement, system optimization, and partnering with leadership in a collaborative environment.
What You'll Do
- Manage end-to-end payroll processing for approximately 600+ employees
- Process multi-state, bi-weekly payroll for hourly, salaried, and commission-based employees
- Ensure payroll tax compliance and resolve payroll tax discrepancies
- Lead Paycom optimization and enhancement initiatives
- Create and update SOPs, policies, and payroll documentation
- Support benefits administration and Open Enrollment activities
- Generate payroll reports and analytics using Excel
- Identify process improvement opportunities and implement solutions
- Provide HR Generalist support as needed
Qualifications:
What We're Looking For
- Extensive experience managing multi-state payroll
- Strong payroll tax and compliance knowledge
- Advanced Paycom experience, including system optimization and troubleshooting
- Experience resolving payroll tax issues within Paycom
- Advanced Excel skills, including Pivot Tables and VLOOKUPs
- Benefits administration and Open Enrollment experience preferred
- Bachelor's degree preferred, but equivalent experience will be considered

Compensation
