Human Resources (HR) Assistant
Responsibilities:
• Provide day-to-day administrative support for human resources and payroll activities, ensuring tasks are completed accurately and on schedule.
• Assist employees with investigating timekeeping issues, correcting missed hours, and addressing payroll-related questions in a clear and helpful manner.
• Help staff understand payroll tools and processes by supporting adoption of updated system functionality and answering basic usage questions.
• Maintain organized and up-to-date employee files, records, and supporting documentation in accordance with internal standards.
• Review payroll and attendance data for inconsistencies and flag issues that may affect accuracy or compliance.
• Enter data, prepare reports, manage filing, and complete assigned clerical projects to support departmental needs.
• Handle employee information with a high level of confidentiality and sound judgment in all interactions.
• Partner with HR, payroll, and management personnel to respond to operational requests and support workforce administration.
• Contribute to onboarding-related administrative tasks, including documentation tracking and coordination of required employment records.
Qualifications:
• At least 2 years of experience in administrative support, human resources, payroll support, or a related office environment.• Strong verbal and written communication skills with the ability to assist employees and collaborate across teams.
• Proven customer service abilities and professionalism when handling questions or sensitive workplace matters.
• High level of accuracy, attention to detail, and organizational skill in managing records and transactions.
• Ability to protect confidential information and use sound judgment in day-to-day work.
• Comfortable using Microsoft Office applications, including Word, Excel, and Outlook.
• Ability to learn new HRIS or payroll systems quickly; experience with Paycom is preferred.
• Capable of managing multiple assignments effectively in a busy, deadline-driven setting.
Compensation
